Culture and sights
Catholic parish church Bad Vigaun hl. Dionysius: The church was newly built from 1488 to 1516 as a late Gothic three-nave geosteel hall church under a gable roof with a west tower and is surrounded by a cemetery with a high cemetery wall.
Obersamhof chapel with a hipped roof with a figure of St. Anthony by the sculptor Bernhard Prähauser from 1970.
The war memorial has a group of figures by the sculptor Jakob Adlhart from 1953[6]
The Filialkirche Hl. Margaretha in Kirchweiler St. Margarethen is a late Gothic single-nave church with a remarkable Baroque exterior pulpit with a Baroque canopy.
Bruderloch, a semi-cave traditionally often referred to as the second oldest Christian place of worship in the province of Salzburg. There are no sources for a frequently claimed use as a place of retreat for the Christian population during an attack by the Heruls. An archaeological investigation revealed the first traces of use for the early modern period, which, however, can probably be explained by stone quarrying rather than by a religious significance. The function as a place of worship was probably added later.
