The OFF Theatre in Salzburg opened under this motto on 1 February 2017. Initiator and operator is the TheaterOffensive, a professional ensemble consisting of actors and musicians, which has been around for many years in Salzburg and its surroundings is very successful with their cultural work.
After eight years of nomadism, it was time for their own venue. This is located in Salzburg Gnigl ??in an old industrial building. For six months, a former joinery was transformed into a theater room with a large lounge and bar area. With the help of financial support from the city, the countryside and a lot of personal initiative, a new venue has emerged that offers space not only to the TheaterOffensive but also to other free theater ensembles and artists.
Theater Lounge Academy
"Theater Lounge Academy". This slogan is in the true sense of the word program. The OFFensives not only play themselves, but also pass on their knowledge in workshops. All ages are taught. From 3 to 103 years, courses are available for all interested. The 200 square meter large lounge also offers space for all kinds of celebrations. It is incidentally also the venue for the monthly held specials. Once a month, an OFF brunch with live music and a breakfast buffet is served on a Sunday. On the other hand, a Monday in the month is reserved for "OFF the record". Here is from Quiz Night on wine tasting to exciting guests in interviews to "Theaterträumen" a lot of variety.
